Are you still using Survey 1.0? Well, get with the program, and move over to our new Survey 2.0 functionality! Speaking of Programs, did you know Survey 2.0 has unique compatibility with Journey Orchestrator Programs?

  1. Program functionality! Yes, you can technically still can use Survey 1.0 in programs, but Survey 2.0 unlocks so much easy-to-use functionality, including:
    • Built-in fields in the participant list that integrate directly with Survey 2.0 fields (such as NPS score, participant ID, etc.).
    • Ability to tokenize questions within your survey.

  2. Friendly object structure for reporting! Those familiar with reporting on Survey 1.0 objects know how difficult that could be at times. All survey 1.0 data exists in Salesforce and is spread out across many disparate objects with sometimes inconsistent lookups. Survey 2.0 fixes this problem because it is built on the MDA and therefore has logical lookups to the Company object, Company Person and much more. Read our survey object glossary to learn more.

  3. Easy migration tool! Our survey migration tool makes it easy to get started when switching to 2.0. We acknowledge that it can be tough to migrate all at once, so we not only offer an easy-to-use migration tool, we also allow customers to run Survey 1.0 and 2.0 in parallel as you navigate the upgrade process. Click here for more information.

  4. More flexibility with Survey design! As mentioned above, Survey 2.0 allows for tokenizing questions. But that’s not all. Here are a few other key enhancements:
    • Question library - save commonly asked questions to use across multiple surveys
    • Easily use anonymous links to add surveys to your website or other outreaches.
    • More sophisticated branching logic, including the ability to only show questions based on customer attributes

  5. This is the way of the future!
    • All future survey-related enhancements will be made to Survey 2.0 rather than 1.0 functionality
    • Survey 1.0 objects are not compatible with Gainsight NXT, so when it’s time to upgrade (if you haven’t already), you’ll want to be sure you’ve moved to Survey 2.0. The sooner you do so, the better!spongebob-34c01498-9969-40dd-8e71-a027c7565083-1347169295.gif

We’re here to help with this change! In the upcoming weeks, we'll be hosting a webinar and feature-specific office hours with step by step instructions to help you through this upgrade process. If you'd like to start tackling this on your own, feel free to drop by any of our upcoming twice-weekly admin office hours sessions.
