I am attempting to add a Global Filter to a dashboard but the objects appearing in the dropdown are not as expected. For example, I should be able to select Account or Customers for the reference field since I have reports that are built off of those objects in the dashboard. In the screenshot I have not selected any reports but I did try to select the various reports and the available objects did not change. Any advice for getting the Account or Customer object to display as an option?

hey Kate - I tried the same and saw the same thing you did, until I selected the Account/Customer reports, unchecked them, then reloaded my browser.
You might try, if you haven't already, saving the dashboard (without the global filter) and log out/back in to GS and then try. If that doesn't work, try clearing your browser cache. I see all sorts of wonky, inexplicable issues with filters (not just in dashboards, but in rules, reports, etc) that requires me to clear my cache frequently.
