I see documentation for the SF edition that you assign the GS viewer license, but for NXT do we need to assign the NXT and the viewer license to give view only permissions directly from SF?

To be able to access Gainsight in SF, you will have to assign the Gainsight License. Then within NXT, you will have to assign them to the VIEW_GROUP permission group.

More details are available in the following guide to set up Viewer users in NXT:

https://support.gainsight.com/Gainsight_NXT/Team_View/Admin_Guides/Permissions_for_Viewer_Group_in_Gainsight_NXT

Thanks,

Sidhu

I think there’s an opportunity to make the documentation a whole lot clearer on this subject. It took me quite a bit of digging just to figure out that viewer licensees can only edit Timeline entries and nothing else - and I’m still not all the way sure that’s 100% accurate.
