Currently we use Salesforce to do Org Mapping but there are a lot of restrictions. Is there a way to do org mapping like this in Gainsight?

Hi Ky,

We don't have this functionality outside of SFDC today but we are working on some new functionality that will track individuals (persons) and allow things like org mapping along with tracking where people work as they transition to new roles and new companies.

Karl Rumelhart, our CPO, covered this during the last Product Roadmap webinar presentation. I can send you an email with the info on how to access this content as it's restricted to customer only viewing.
Hi Ky,

Can you please let us know the kind of restrictions you are seeing in SFDC capabilities of org chart?

We are planning to add the org chart visualisation of contacts in the new 'Person section' in C360. I will update on the ETA when we have better visibility. The following community post has more details about the new 'Person section' that is going to get added in C360.

Please feel free to share your feedback & inputs.

Thanks,
Thank you for the help Dan and for the follow up email!
Thank you Rajesh!
No Problem. Can you please let us know the restrictions you are facing in SFDC capabilities of org chart?
Hey Dan - can I get that too since we're now a customer? 🙂
Our biggest issue is that we are limited to only 10 contacts. This poses an issue with all of our Enterprise accounts that could have 50-500 users. 10 is just too small. The other reason is to have as much information living in Gainsight as possible.
Info sent! 🙂
We use the SFDC org chart but can't seem to get that to show up on the c360.  I understand that Gainsight may be working on this for the future, but is it possible to use an 'embedded page' in the c360 to show this?  Given each account has a unique chart it would be great to see that right from the c360 vs. having to click around to find it.
Hi Scott, you can embed most visual force pages into a Gainsight C360 section. Here are some details on how: https://support.gainsight.com/Product_Documentation/Customers_and_Relationships/Admin_Configuration/...
It's been a while since the original post but we now do have a feature that will allow you to do this within gainsight : People Maps!

Some of it's features are:

1. Easily map out the organizational structure within your customer accounts in order to better navigate to the right people and understand who all of the players are in their success.

2. You would also definitely want to ensure that not only are you reaching out to the right people but also that people are satisfied across all levels of the organization. View important information about each person such as the last NPS score they gave you and when your last engagement with them was. With these insights your team can more easily understand if you’re engaging at the right levels, if there are certain parts of the business that are more satisfied than others and so on.

3. You don't have to build the map here. You could bring in hierarchies from Salesforce or elsewhere and consume People Maps within Gainsight.

4. Download the org chart as a.jpg to add to your presentations!
