Currently, timeline entries related to success plans will need a lot of clicks. Is there a way to just create a timeline entry, then add it to an existing Sp within the account?

Our team has an option in the “update” timeline activity to associate records and can select “Call to Action” and then type in the name of the success plan and it will allow you to select it to associate it to the timeline activity. Once you have done that, and type in the notes for the activity and click save, it will save into the timeline as well as into the timeline for the success plan. 

You will most likely need to pull in “Associated records” into the “other fields” options in the specific timeline activity that you want the team to use to be able to associate the record. This is located in timeline option under administration section in Gainsight. Once in there, you can edit which ever activity type you wish to add this option to.
