We've noticed this as well. I believe it is because Gainsight currently treats the email alias posts as a separate user (which makes reporting a bit messy).
This came up again today in support which brought me back to this post. Just wanted to check on if we have a possible timeline on when this may be added? I also noticed that we do pick up the profile picture from SFDC if the email goes to drafts first.
If you ever had a profile with us, there's no need to create another one. Don't worry if your email address has since changed, or you can't remember your login, just let us know at community@gainsight.com and we'll help you get started from where you left.
