The knowledge center bot is always in the way, no matter where I try to move it when I am in Gainsight. I do not need it to always be present on the screen and sometimes it becomes extremely annoying when it blocks something I need to click on or see. Please give us an option to turn it off or keep it hidden across all pages within the platform.
When I was admin/implementing Gainsight PX, there was a way to embed the knowledge button to an static icon on your webapp. So they could easily pin it to the header somewhere.
There might be some screens that it doesn’t show up on, because you lose the header, like report builder.
Gainsight needs to resolve this, and has the power to do it.
For now, I have dropped it into the furthest right hand corner. IT only slightly covers up a the ‘Save’ button when doing rules. But I know that it is the ‘Save’ button, so its ok.
Support can definitely submit a request to get your whole account excluded from the KC Bot within CS, and the individual user might also be possible.
Ideally, GS could add this capability to the CS UI by implementing the PX User Preferences API. Specifically, the KC Bot is enabled/disabled by the ‘onboardingBot’ pref. That would be nice to have at the user level in the user profile settings.
Yes, How can I upvote this removal of the KC Bot!? It is constantly in the way and unnecessary for it to be available everywhere. Putting it in the menu options only would be ideal.
Hey all,
Just wanted to share something that worked for me on this. I right clicked the KC bot and selected “Inspect” (I actually had to try twice to get it to highlight that element in the pane that opens).
From there, I was able to right click on the KC bot code and chose “Hide Element” and that made it go away. It seems to be permanent!
It won’t be permanent because the bot is still in the DOM, but it will be persistent thanks to browser cache. The change should last as long as your cache for your CS tenant’s domain. If that cache expires or gets deleted, you can just repeat the hide
