Is there a way to report on a specific type of timeline update? 

Here’s the situation: we’ve asked the CS team to reach out to customers and have conversations about a certain topic, and we’d like them to record the customer feedback in Timeline. But we can’t figure out how to consolidate and export all those timeline entries so we can easily share the feedback with other teams. We want these to be actual conversations, which is why we’re not using a survey.

Could a report be created using a specific subject/title as a filter?

Yes, you can report on activity subjects. If everyone uses similar subjects to file this type of interaction, you can filter on the subject containing that word or phrase.
