As part of our multi-step effort in making rules more robust and manageable, we are moving rules definition from "AutomatedAlertRules" and "ActionTemplates" Objects in SFDC to a similar objects in MDA. This would have absolutely no impact on the existing rules or their schedules except if there were any reports / workflow configured out of the aforementioned SFDC objects
If you are using these objects in reporting or any other way, please let us know

Thanks for letting us know Sundar. When would this be expected to take place? Will this give us the ability to report on Rules and include the Rule Name?
This migration is happening with 5.4 release this month.
Jeff- We are not going to get the reporting ability on this yet, but we have audit plans for the rules which would give a view into history of the rule and we are looking at making that source data reportable.

Sundar -
When we refresh sandbox from production- MDA objects are not preserved so what will happen if rules are stored in MDA
Thanks,
Brijesh

I assume you are doing a full sandbox refresh. With full sandbox refresh, the Org ID of the sandbox instance changes...
The link b/w SFDC's org and MDA is broken since everything is changed. We are trying to address this down the line... As of now the rules definition in MDA will become orphan and eventually deleted.
