Sending emails from Timeline or Activity

Hi Everyone, 

I am brand new to Gainsight. I am trying to figure out how to send emails from Timeline or Activities. I see emails available in CTAs, but I can’t figure out how it works with Timeline. The only option available is to share the Activity, which includes the activity information, but no option to pull a template for external use, as we log the activity and send an email to external participants. 

I went trough the email configuration settings and timeline settings and could not find an option to include sending emails from timeline. Am I missing something or the option is not available.

    Hello ​@petya.filipova,

    You can send emails from Gainsight Timeline, but there are important distinctions compared to sending emails from Cockpit. In Timeline, you can use the activity’s context menu and select “Share via Email.” This opens a pre-filled email dialog—auto-populated with To/Cc fields (from attendees), Subject (activity name), Body (activity details), and any files attached to the activity. You can add extra recipients, including external participants. However, the email is essentially a summary snapshot of the Timeline activity.

    Timeline does not let you select an email template or create a custom email flow within Timeline itself. You are sharing the activity as an email, not composing a new, template-driven email.
