How does the date filter Last Week or This Week work in reporting? Is it Monday - Sunday? Or Sunday - Saturday? And does it use the time zone configured for the organization or for the individual user?

Hi Kate,
For reports on SFDC objects, we send the filter literal(last week) to Salesforce and then show the data which salesforce returns. Here is an article which describes how Salesforce handles that.
For MDA, we have a fixed Monday to Sunday (Standard week) definition for the week literals. Regarding the timezone, we use the timezone which is configured at the organization level, not individual user level.

Thanks for confirming!
In the most recent release notes it says a week is defined as Sunday-Saturday in the Rules Engine. Is that only for the Rules Engine or is that for reporting as well? Can you confirm which is correct?
Hi Perry, in Rules Engine both filters configured at Setup, Actions, and Filters used to search for Rules in Listing use Week definition configured in Application Settings.
Just FYI, the recent release notes had information about filter options to search for Rules and they use Sunday-Saturday as any week could be an example if the Week definition has SUNDAY as start of the day
