We want to start logging calls and meeting as tasks tied to a particular CTA. I wanted to create a task field called interaction type  with the options : email, call, meeting in Tasks. 





How can i do this ? The support documentation regarding this topic is extremely vague.

I would recommend using timeline for logging calls, emails, meetings in Gainsight. As of now, timeline is available only at customer/ relationship level but in Spring release we are adding timeline at CTA level too. So you will be able to log calls, meetings, etc. against each CTA. If you have time, I will be happy to set-up a call and discuss this approach further.





To add a field in Task layout, add the field in csTask object and then add the field in Task layout (Administration > Tasks > Task Layout)

Thanks for your reply, happy to get on a call and explain my use case better. 
So i created two custom task fields :


Interaction type and duration.





 i'm able to see the custom field in the task in the webapp, but the unable to see them in the mobile app. 





We want to make it easy for our CSMs to log calls as tasks.
