What are the pros/cons of syncing timeline activity to SFDC tasks vs events? Is there a recommended best practice for where to sync?

I think this is a matter of preference for your org as well. If Timeline is being leveraged to mainly log internal or external meetings, then Events is what makes the most sense. Ideally, any 'tasks' added to a Timeline log would sync to Activity (provided you have all tasks set to sync to Salesforce per this article: https://support.gainsight.com/Cockpit_and_Playbooks/Admin_Guides/10_Configure_and_Sync_Tasks_from_Ga...





I am not 100% sure if that is true today for Timeline Activity tasks. The caution would be that this would also sync all tasks associated to a CTA as well.
