I am working on some advanced reports using survey answers. I would like to aggregate scores based on the question code, but am having a hard time determining what each question code is.

I think I can use the Survey Question data space to find that. Is that the best way or is there something easier?

Thanks!
Hi Ben,

I would recommend you leverage Survey Data Flattening as compared to Survey DataSpace if you are trying to create custom report on a survey. Survey Data flattening can be enabled by raising a support request and once enabled you can leverage it to flatten the entire survey data in MDA object.

For a flattened survey data, question name becomes column name and for matrix each of the sub-question also becomes column name.
I'll have to look into The Flattening as well.  I had the same issue but where we had a survey which was duplicated monthly.  This meant that the questions had the same text, but different question codes every month (each duplicated survey had unique codes).  In order to aggregate over time, I filtered for the question text ("Question Name") I was reporting on, rather than the codes.

I also have used ad hoc reports showing Question Code with a filter for specific Question Names in order to see what the codes are.

[i]PS:  Once I discovered the above hassles, I made some changes to our legacy survey process.  We no longer make a new one monthly!  ;)
