Hi! We’ve recently launched our KB in the community (which is great), with our team creating 170+ articles in a little over a week.

I’d like to restrict these articles from showing up in the recently active feed, as they push all the questions way down the feed.

I'm curious to understand, do you think this is a recurring need or the issue only occurs when a large amount of KB articles are published?

@Marion Frecaut - I think it’s a recurring need. We had a giant boost in articles when we launched the KB which crushed the feed for weeks. Now it’s slowed down a bit, so not as cumbersome. BUT I could see needing this if we do any type of migration of content over, or if we launch a new category and seed that area with content. Flexibility around what appears in the feed would be great, but a general on/off for having articles appear would be a great first step.

Hi @Marion Frecaut

Are there any work around here to prevent new knowledge base content to appear in the recently active feed?

@Kgastaldo do you have any feedback to provide about your KB launch related to the active feed? Would be of great help, thanks!

Does hiding the KB category to user prevent it from being displayed in the active feed, or will it be in the active feed the moment we enable visibility of related categories?

Context: we have the same use case with the migration of more than 150 topics from Zendesk to Insided + regular article creation that will dilute community topics for weeks before it is pushed down the active feed.

Also, are there any plans for Insided to work on this? I can see this is something that was a complementary idea proposed last year about this too

@victorlacombe - I think the cheat could be to publish them in a restricted/hidden category, and then move them to the right KB. Moving an article shouldn’t trigger anything in the activity feed.

@Kgastaldo  indeed this could work thanks for the idea, I’ll check this and see what happens thanks!

FYI - Sadly the solution consisting in publishing a topic in a hidden category and then to move it to a visible category doesn’t work as the topic eventually ends up appearing in the “active feed” widget on the home page (it was worth trying though, thanks Kgastaldo).

Chiming in on this idea. I’d love the ability to restrict certain content from showing in the activity feed. In our case, we’d like to restrict Ideas from showing on the activity feed on our home page. Our customers are extremely active with our ideas portal and we’d prefer to have questions appear in the feed over ideas
