WYSIWYG on mobile

Hi @Scott Baldwin, thanks for sharing this idea. I see the problem when some edit options are not available on small screens.

I have several questions:

• Why would you like to have emoji option in editor? we didn’t make it available in mobile, as there’s emoji option in the mobile keyboard. Would it work?
• And about displaying bullet and number list, I think it would also be great if we can convert ‘-’ and ‘1.’ into list while hitting enter, which is available on desktop. What do you think?
• When would you use attachments on mobile? And what type of files would it be? 

In the meanwhile, I’ll put this idea to ‘open’ to collect more votes and feedback from others. :) 

@xiaoyu-shen I suggested emoji just because many use it in WYSIWYG, but fine using the one on the keyboard too. Like the ideas of bullets, but many may not be aware of that and looking for more formatting choices. I’ll leave that with you to determine best approach.

Attachments in our case are often screenshots or files (e.g. PDFs) that customers include when describing something.

Our community moderators really need more options to format text on mobile.

There is plenty of room in the portrait view to fit more options, at least on tablet. On a phone that might be a but less.
