Hello Teams!

This is Logan from Support. I've recently come across a customer use case that surprised me to find we were not able to build at this time.

In Reports 2.0, we have a feature that allows for "Custom Colors" to be used in reports. But to effectively have your colors show in reports, you have to make sure that the Source Object in the "Color Configuration" area is the exact same as the Source Object in the Report that you're building.

So in the above configuration, these fields will only show their configured colors if the report is built off of the Scoring Scheme Definition object. However, the Scoring Scheme Definition does not contain the desired fields to build a proper report.

Company fields cannot be called into a report when built off of Scoring Scheme Definition.

It would be beneficial if our Color Configuration was for these fields no matter how they were pulled into the report. So Scoring Scheme Definition fields would still reflect their custom colors even when pulled into a report built off of the Company Object.

Thanks for the consideration! Also, if there's configurational changes that I'm unaware of that would help our customer achieve their desired results, please let us know!

Take care,

Logan Thome

+1 on this idea.

Ideally it would be great to have the ability to define custom colors on the objects/fields (as currently done) but also allow custom colors to be defined in any individual report (override the global color for that object/field in a single report).

Hey Dan,

I was speaking with a customer today who was also looking to be able to define custom colors at the report level. I totally agree this would be a nice feature, any idea if this is on the roadmap?

Looks like we can now configure colors for reports, beyond just for CTA Reasons!

+1 on this. I have account attributes being brought over into the Company Object to show current score- label compared with Account attributes, and it looks like I cannot customize the Company Object color pattern for the current score label. All of our scorecard graphs are going to look pink and blue for 0-50 *Red Score*, 50-80 *yellow score*, and 80-100 *green score*. Is there a better way to compare the Current score to account attributes on the company record that allows me to control the color of the labels to reflect the score colore of Red, Yellow, and Green? I can say that this will drive my whole team, and management crazy evertime they look at it. Any ideas, or is this a limitation?

Thanks,

Mark

Checking in here for an update?  Will the restrictions be lifted for selecting custom colors based on values in the report in a target Lookup field if that field has been configured for custom colors?
