Allow Company Person Object to be Configurable in Search Configuration

I got the exact same request from the team on having Contact email address searchable in the global search bar which is currently available in our Salesforce search bar.

The use case is that the account management team often get emails from customers that they don't recognize, they have to search with the email to figure out which account it's related to.

This would be insanely beneficial. Right now, in order to search Person records, it searches ALL person records for all companies.

I would love to have a lookup field to either a Person or Company Person record on our Company object but limit it to only those records that are already associated with the Company being specified.

This feature exists in Salesforce and is called a lookup filter, it pre-filters records based on set criteria. The idea here is that we do not need EVERY single person record to appear when you search for an email, just those that work at the company.

Removing the non-relevant records will save our Team time!

I see that in Success Plans there exists the ability to create lookup filters:

Here the filter I would look to apply is Company = company.

We do something like this/overcome this issue by stripping off everything prior to the email domain from company/rel person and pushing to the C360/R360. 

True there can be multiple domains. But, I think we comma concatenate up to 5, which is a lot of different domains for one company. Hope this helps achieve your goals too.
