It has been a while, but i'm curious if there is any news regarding the timestamps?

I was asked by my colleagues about this last week (they often feel like the confused math lady when checking dates of posted content) and just found this vote (and upvoted).
Also, in the Tabs widget and Featured topics widget (and maybe in others), the date does not even show when you hover over the time stamp, so you need the extra click to go to the content.
