Configure automation and pre-moderation rules
Automation and pre-moderation rules help your moderation team reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks. They also protect your company’s brand and the viability of the community as a content channel when there aren;t any moderators around. Consider configuring the following rules:
Configure attachment permissions
By default only trusted users (moderators, community managers, and admins) can upload and attach files to posts. From Control, it’s possible to allow anyone on the community to upload a file and attach it to their post to share with the rest of the community.
Configure content helpfulness
Content Helpfulness allows your users to indicate whether a topic was helpful to them or not with a simple emoticon voting system. You can decide on which topic type(s) this should be enabled
Configure moderation notifications
Assign moderator:
You can send email notifications to a moderator when he/she is assigned to a topic. By default this setting is disabled.
Enable moderation notifications in Control → Settings → Moderation Notifications → "Assign Moderator"
Flagged content:
You can send email notifications to email addresses you configure when a topic or reply gets flagged by a user.
Enable flagged content notifications in Control → Settings → Moderation Notifications → "Flagged content"
