Currently, with Dynamic Programs the “Survey URL” field on the “AO Participant” object is NULL.

This is needed for sending the survey if the user can’t find the email and it needs to be resent and for reporting. Previously, this could be done using the “Survey Participant” object.

Survey objects contain the response URL, but there is no way to get the “Survey URL”.

Is it possible to have this field available via Dynamic Programs to continue workflows from previous programs.

If we could at least get the full survey url within the survey participant object it would be a step in the right direction. Currently, there is only a “link id” that you can use but you need to construct the url yourself.

FYI… Not having this parity from legacy programs to advanced programs is causing us lots of issues.  This is also not just about the survey URL field.  We have dependencies on all the survey fields in AO participant.  We may have to fully rearchitect some of the programs and reporting we have that depended on it if there is not feature parity soon.  We started converting programs over to the advanced designer and were not aware of this issue until we had already converted multiple programs.  I wish we knew of this feature parity issue before we starting converting because we would have held off for a bit due to the need to rearchitect things to get this data from other sources.  It would be very helpful if you can get feature parity on this very soon.  Thanks.

FYI… We were able to create a report formula field to derive the survey URL, but it is not as easy to use as it is by having it available in a system table that can be used in multiple places.  Here is the logic we used:

Our case is similar to everything listed above, we need to provide the Survey URL in reports for our CS Team to easily grab and share with customers during our 3-week NPS Survey run. This URL is often shared ad-hoc (personalized email or via a live call).

Not having the Survey URL in the Survey Participants object caused us quite a bit of grief when only learning about this AFTER we built and activated a redesigned JO program. Had we have known it, we would have pushed for the Survey URL to be available and we would not have taken the time to build and run a new program this quarter.

Adding to our frustration, is the fact that the missing URL wasn’t mentioned in the JO Unveiled webinar (which was otherwise great). Nor is it mentioned in documentation. In fact, here’s what the documentation says:

I’m told that this snippet covers the missing URLs but it only points back to the Survey Participants object, doesn’t define what types of programs are impacted (dynamic versus simple) and also doesn’t indicate what objects fall in the “Advanced Progam Participants” category.

As there is a way to obtain the Survey URL by piecing together data, then the system should do this and not require admins and super users to build this themselves. It would also be helpful to have the URL built it in as we are considering running a 2nd JO Program to encourage participation and I expect that would generate a new survey URL.

I recently encountered this same limitation and found it very frustrating to find the Survey URL field values to be NULL. Only by working through support did they recommend the solution to create the following formula field:

This is not mentioned in any of the documentation (that I can find), and was unclear to me. It’s great to know that there’s a workaround available, but a) why isn’t this made available OOTB, and b) if it can’t be made out of the box, how come there isn’t a clearer way for admins to learn about this workaround option?

This is a step backwards, will feature parity be restored? What is the advantage of removing the data and these fields for dynamic programs?

Running into this still and very surprised this is not addressed. When will this be fixed?

Support has provided the workaround by John above, if this has such a direct work around thats been available for half a year - why has it not been deployed for all customers? This change is only driving support ticket volume and otherwise seen as a step backwards.
