Hi team,

(I saw a couple of threads on this but they were either old or marked as solved. But let me know if I missed something)

Our end users have had a constant need over the years for one thing: see ARR or other monetary fields converted to the same currency.

We have multi-currency enabled and it works fine but the we’re missing something as simple as being able to quickly look and compare the ARR of two customers when looking at the table. This is particularly difficult in regions of the world where multi-currencies are used (ex: APAC).

Or simply being able to export a report with the all accounts showing their ARR on the same currency. Not having this makes our users relying more in other systems (ex: SFDC) and less in Gainsight.

Is something planned right now that would solve this? Or an work-around?

Thanks in advance!

It’s for this reason that we load everything in USD to Gainsight as people want to be able to compare in a table easily and that wins over the international teams having their local currency. But it’s always a trade off.

Something I’ve implemented recently is the addition of an Conversion Rate field on the company object where I put the rate (based on the SF currency code, via a rule) and then a calculated field for the “Local” version of each currency field.

Due to an issue with rules engine not accepting more than 2 decimals I had to load the exchange rate * by 100000 and then divide by 100000 in the calculation but the end result is the same;

You could do an inverse of this approach to get all your USD values?
