I ran into an issue where a retired field was stuck in a drill-down report. The field was removed from reporting when it was retired, therefore I could not find it in the list of fields in the drill-down report to remove it from the drill-down report.

 

The only way you are able to solve this today is to toggle the field back to allow in reporting, edit the drill-down report, toggle field back to hide in reporting. This was a bit convoluted and extra challenging because the name of the field in the report had been renamed to something different at the object level, making it extra challenging to identify which field it actually was.

 

Solution ideas:

  1. Allow removal of columns from drill-down reports via the header
  2. Have a way to show all fields currently selected in a drill-down report (even if hidden from reporting) so that they can be removed
    1. I’m okay once the hidden from reporting field is removed from the report to return to the expected behavior of not showing it in the report configuration window
