The ability to build a default welcome home page layout that would be the layout a new user sees the first few times they login (could set a timeline or number of logins) and once this time or number of logins expires, it would automatically switch to match the current home page layout for all users. Could simply be a sticky banner at the top that directs them to the welcome resources but once they’ve logged in a few times (or ignored/minimized the content) it no longer shows up for them on their home page view.

Hi @Christa Brown, Thanks a lot for that idea, I really like it. We are actually thinking of having some kind of visibility settings on widgets according to user roles. For instance, you could have a feature topic widget only visible for super users or according to some custom role. Would such a feature solve your use case?

Perhaps. Could the custom role be “new user” and they only have this role for a pre-determined length of time or number of logins?

Setting visibility by Roles would be a great enhancement, but Ranks would be a better solution for this use case IMO. As folks get more engaged, their experience could evolve to drive the next set of desired behaviors.

@jillrossco  Such a fab suggestion… it will be a more engaging UX if it can evolve along with the maturity of the user themselves on the platform

The conversation happened the exact other way around in another topic… I’d suggested a get started custom HTML widget and then was asked to do the same with roles…

Here is the way to do this before the feature is built! :)

Upvoted this idea though!
