When looking for a way to export a list of our events (there’s not one, so I added the idea below), I considered a copy/paste solution from Control. However, it’s not possible.

{your-domain}.insided.com/event/overview is not paginated and only shows the most recent 25 events. It seems that the UI for this is incomplete, as it does’t match the other pages in the Content section of Control.

While events are different than other topics, I suggest adding similar features, particularly:

  • pagination
  • filters
  • search
  • saved views

Thanks for your idea @DannyPancratz! Happy to let you know we’re making some big improvements to the Control experience for Events soon, which also include your improvements shared in this idea.

Do we have any update on the status of these UI improvements? Specifically, it would be great to have the ability to view more than the latest-dated 25 events.

We have a very robust calendar and like to get things scheduled as far in advance as possible, and often will schedule a pretty decent number of events at once for efficiency’s sake. If, say, we need to delete an event that’s coming up relatively soon we aren’t able to do so, because it gets bumped off the Overview list and there isn’t any way to delete the event other than from that list page.

Our workaround going forward is probably just going to have to be to not schedule any events that would bump “today’s” events off the list of 25, which will be less efficient since I’ll need to block more time throughout the month specifically for events scheduling since there isn’t an import tool for this either.

I hope this summary of our use case is helpful. I’m really excited to see these planned improvements, we love using the built-in Events feature and this would make it even better! 🙌

Also - if there is a hacky workaround to game the Overview to show more or earlier-dated events in the list, I’m open to trying that too, so please let me know if anyone has any advice 🙏

Thanks for the additional context @Jacinda Espinosa! Not aware of any hacky workarounds, but I’m happy to share that we’ll be adding pagination and search to the Event overview in Control!

Thanks! That’s great to hear @Sebastian - I’m sure you aren’t able to share any specific dates, but do you know generally when we might get to see this?

@Jacinda Espinosa I’d say somewhere within the next 2-3 months!

Hi @Sebastian - I wanted to follow up here and say that I love pagination in Events and it has greatly improved my life 🌟

I did want to ask if there are plans to include a search function in the Control environment for ideas? I believe this was one of the items in the original idea here, but wasn’t sure what the status is on this particular feature. Thanks!

I would love to see a search/filter functionality on the events lists, its a pain to keep using the Ctrl+F on each page

@alan.edwards Can totally imagine that! It’s on our to do list and coming soon!
