For each chart in one of the Analytics Dashboards, it’d be great to have an export/download button that exports the summary data you’re seeing.
The dashboard is already aggregating metrics for you and some of these metrics aren’t available to be recreated via other exports (for example, Unique Visitors and Page Views in the Audience Dashboard).
If the platform is rending a chart based on summary data, it’d be great to export that summary data as a helpful data set to analyze.
My use case that inspired the idea: Compare visitor data to visit data (via the SFDC dashboard).
We switched our community to Public visibility last week. As such, the Audience dashboard is now very relevant to us. Whereas, previously the SFDC integration gave us comprehensive visit data based on the activities it feeds through. Now that people can visit and engage with some aspects of the community while still logged-out, our logged-in visit data (SFDC) will be less comprehensive.
I’d love to compare the two data sets (audience dashboard metrics and logged-in visit metrics) to show different levels of the engagement funnel (logged out visits, logged in visits, and so on) over time. But to do that, I’d need easy access to the data in the Audience dashboard; something I can download and build into other tables, charts, and visualizations.
And, in general, allowing for the export of the summary data of any chart would be amazing. I find that the analytics dashboards often have what I need, but not in the format I need it in. The other data exports either don’t have have what I need or require me to essentially recreate what the dashboards show on my own. I’d love to have quick access to the summary data so I can leverage these analytics within the context of other reporting I do.
