Ability to report on JO Emails Logged to Timeline

All,

I’m re-logging this because the original idea a lot of us upvoted has “mysteriously” disappeared. It shows up in search but throws an error (!) (/ideas/7806)

The topic is very near and dear to us Digital CS peeps’ hearts and I don’t see what justified seemingly archiving that. 

Anyway, back to business:

JO Timeline Entries MUST be reportable. Full stop.

They need to really exist in the Activity Timeline object (and not just have made up links in Cockpit), they need to be a type we can filter on outside of R360 Timeline (the only place we can), so basically, everywhere: reports, dashboards, rules, API, query builder, data designer, data management, you name it. 

They are when they sync to Salesforce. Why can’t you do the same in Gainsight? Why was it “not in scope”?

      ​@revathimenon You can merge this into the other idea too. What happened with old ideas disappearing? When did this become a thing? Keeping them used to provide guidance to what the surviving idea was, especially as search is pretty binary (either we have the right keywords or we don’t find). Anyway. 

      The most expensive part of building is the mistakes. That's true in construction. Not so much in CSOps. So ask questions, make mistakes and learn. All views expressed here are my own.

      Hey ​@alizee - I found the original idea, it was indeed archived.  It was more than 2 years old and only had 3 votes.  We’ve started archiving older topics as the >12k ideas dating back to 2015 we had were unmanageable (impacting search and impossible for our Product team to keep track of).  We don’t touch anything that has 5 or more votes or that has any kind of activity in the last year. And if there are ever specific ideas you think we shouldn’t have archived, you can always ping us (unarchiving is an option!).
