When I apply a filter, leave the screen and come back the filter is no longer there. I want the ability for filters to persist until manually changed.  Also, I would like to be able to apply a filter to any report possible for data sorting purposes.

There are so many cases where we filter the Account Explorer table, and then click through multiple records, and that process is SO click-intensive in the current state. The 2 biggest issues are:

  1. as this Idea post notes, the Account Explorer filter is not persistent in the session. Every single time the user drills down on a record, the filter has to be re-applied when returning to the table view. Even saved filters have to re-applied over and over again.
  2. the most common UI work around would be opening/drilling down in a new tab or window. This is not allowed in the current UI. We can’t open an account ‘profile’ in a new tab, so point #1 above is unavoidable

So a “basic” workflow becomes:

  1. load Account Explorer
  2. filter the Accounts table
  3. click into a record to view account-specific details
  4. navigate back to Account Explorer
  5. apply the same filter again
  6. on and on for every single account you want to explore

Preferred fix: make the filter sticky

Workable alternative: allow account details to be opened in a new tab/window
