There is currently no configuration option for the new Attachments section of the C360.

This means we as admins are unable to control what fields display in the “report” by default for everyone, or the order.

As a result, if someone wants to view/add/update descriptions for their attachments they have to:

  • Know it’s possible
  • Click the weird icon that lets you change field visibility
  • Add the field
  • Save
  • View/Edit

This is not a great workflow and should be something admins can configure for their users out of the box as a default.

100%.

Again, will bring up this point – not only do endusers typically know all of the available fields, they also don’t expect to need to configure fields. Nor should they.

Users expect new features are ready to go.

This is something we should be able to configure prior to rolling out a feature.

It’s much nicer to say “here’s this cool new feature” than it is to say “here’s this new feature, but to see the information you’re used to seeing, you need to follow this step-by-step guide.” Not only that… if we say the later, usage of that new feature will plummet.

This. Everything in @bradley’s OG post makes complete and utter sense.

I agree with the above, and it would be much more beneficial if we could also predefine filters for size and type to avoid displaying the long list of embedded email signature icons/images (e.g., X, LinkedIn, or others).

I quote everything that has been added so far, and I would suggest adding the ability to delete more than 10 attachments at a time. Some CSMs do clean up the list, but having to do it in batches of 10 is time-consuming.

The “Shared” column shows by default… but that’s only applicable to customers using Spaces, so showing the “Shared” column by default is pointless at best and creates a support hardship at worst (tickets from users asking how do we “share” attachments).

The “Tags” column also shows by default. I wouldn’t want my users using Tags until Gainisght has provided more regulatory control over its use, yet I have no way to at least bury the column because this functionality does not exist.

Administrative control over any multi-column layout should be provided at GA with any new associated feature.
