Delegate Group Admin permissions to manage membership and group home page

This, I believe, would be a different idea on it’s own. I feel it sits somewhere between these two ideas:

What I can say about those speicifically (at the moment) is that we are looking in both options. Front-end moderation / updating statuses will be a slightly bigger lift, however the latter one has been discussed just this week and we are seeking a temporary solution to be available soon!

Coming back on this topic and see if it has been/is being taken into account anywhere on your roadmap? Any ETA on these topics?

As mentioned above, requiring an admin licence for some very easy front end moderation is still a huge issue for us as it limits our internal adoption (internal experts leading groups for example but also PMs not being able to change Product Idea Statuses..). 

All in all, giving more ownership to employees or to a hand-selection of expert users definitely empowers them to make the most of each aspects of our communities, and that’s what communities are for, right? :)

Thanks for bringing this up - I totally see the added value for you and others here! 

While I am not a representative / capable speaking on behalf of the product team, I can inform you that we have plans to focus on adoption improvements around groups later this year. This could include improvements like this one, but I doubt that the scope of these improvements has been fully defined by now. 

Maybe @Sebastian could chime in, he will probably be able to add more information (now or later), once our plans have become more concrete in this area.

Hi @JohnMcGown @Julian, thanks for looping me in! Correct, we plan to improve our Groups feature to expand its use cases and to make them more powerful in building community. I can safely say that allowing members to take more actions for groups (eg. invite, approve and remove members, doing light moderation, etc.) will be included!

Bump! would be highly valuable for us, it would certainly increase Community Adoption for our dozens of different Product Managers, and make our life as Community Managers way easier.

I heard this is being worked on already and/or close to release? Are there any updates on this?

For our newly launched Community with several user groups it would really help me if I can appoint certain roles/permissions to user group leaders instead of keeping everything to myself as Community manager/admin.
