Hey,

Thanks for the feedback. This is something we are looking at in our medium term roadmap

Our CSMs too are asking for this important feature

Chiming in on this VERY old, VERY high vote idea, as there’s got to be an easy way of including a CSM’s signature in JO emails without them having to duplicate information in Salesforce or Gainsight (by using the Outlook/Chrome extension plugin). Related topic:

Can we get an update as to where this is other than “on the medium term roadmap?” What does that mean, since we’re already in Q2 2024? It’d be fantastic to be able to include signatures and upcoming PTO in emails sent on CSxs’ behalf.

Imo, customer outreach has the ability to enhance the trust/perception the customer has in the company (or a particular CSM), or detract from it.  For example, if an email is full of spelling mistakes, bad grammar, or formatting, it calls into question the accuracy/attention to detail that person has - and therefore their ability to represent the company/assist the customer in meeting their outcomes with the product.

Where am I going with this?  Disparity between emails sent in outlook versus GS Assist/JO due to signatures just makes things ‘a bit weird’ for the end recipient. Why do I sometimes get emails with one signature, and other times with something completely different. Small disparities then cause people to look harder at the details to see if there are other, bigger issues.  Disparities, albeit small, serve to erode trust.

Functionality to allow sync of an email signature from a preferred email client would be a great enhancement to include, and would be a feature making it easier to ‘make emails seem like they’ve come from outlook’.

That is a great callout! It’s very difficult to regain trust.

Adding on here, it seems like there has not been an update or acknowledgment on this in ~ 1 year. Can we get a status update? Especially with the release of P360 and the ability to email the contact very easily this is an important feature for our CSM’s. At minimum we should be able to use tokenized information on the gainsight user to build a Signature email template that anyone can pick up and use from our email template library. This would need to be dynamic to the gainsight user and not mapping through the company → CSM → etc, which I have been told is not possible.

Re-raising this topic.. Again.

Our company is going through a rebranding project.  There is no standard email signature on email templates, which means each template (and version) has to be rebranded individually.

Where many assets need to be updated. this is really time consuming to update each part of the signature.  Apart from being a time-suck for the admin, it also introduces the possibility of human error with the settings/paddings.

We need a solution somewhere in-between design templates for Horizon queries and and email template element; this would allow an admin to drag and drop the standard tenant-wide email signature into an email template, and the signature would carry default token values, with the option of customizing them for the specific template if needed.

This would also mean housing somewhere in GS where the signature could be updated, however, to my earlier reply on this topic disparity is the enemy of customer perception and consistency is key.

Please enable admins with the functionality to standardize email signatures - both for consistency and time-saving purposes.

@ssamarth or anyone else from Gainsight on the Product/Community teams, as of June ‘24 this idea has 114 upvotes and is still classed as ‘New Idea’.  It’s clear this idea has traction with a large number of Admins/Gainsight users. Is it possible for this to be revisited by the Product Team for consideration and prioritization in your idea backlog?

Thanks,

Stuart

I can’t like this enough… as I’ve said before… we’re only human. We have finite time, and finite bandwidth. And tens (or hundreds) of updates increases the likelihood of errors 100-fold.

Hi GS Team, any updates on implementing global email signature for email templates. Any ETA on product roadmap side?

Looking forward to any response :)

Hi team,

Just re-raising this as a must have for our end users.

It keeps the end user within Gainsight, saves a lot of time on admin (with the ability to utilize tokens in Email assist vs GS assist) and cuts out the need to constantly move to outlook.

More importantly it makes the emails look more official and removes the need to possibly have to attempt to customize each email template to suit.

Thanks a mill!

100%

Our CSMs use (and love) using Outreach for their 1:many emails to their individual books of business.

I’ll be admining the CSM-team’s portion of Outreach, and will be closely looking for product parity, since we already have those CSMs in Gainsight, and minimizing the services our team needs to bounce between would be fantastic. But we can’t do that without having parity there.
