As a CS admin, I would love to see Gainsight expand the reporting capabilities beyond existing objects to also include things like:

  • Rules Engine: Fail/Partial Success Reasons, Rule Chain information, # of Actions Executed, Last Modified Dates
  • Data Designs: Fail/Partial Success Reasons, Last Modified Dates (and by who), where a DD might be used, etc.
  • Connectors: Fail/Partial Success Reasons, Last Modified Dates, etc.
  • Other items:
    • A user’s BCC to Timeline status - is it set up/what is the address per person?
    • Report on custom Cockpit/Timeline views

While a lot of this info is available, it’s quite fragmented across different pages or sources -- Some can be found in the UI (like the rules summary ribbon), some have to be done via downloading a .csv log (failure reasons), some require an export of configuration home (modified dates for connectors). Others are not available without proxying in as a user which requires lengthier troubleshooting steps, especially for those on a SFDC instance.

Having these & more available as reporting for an admin-centric Home or Dashboard not only enables better visibility into an instance, but helps us be more efficient in assisting our organizations and maintaining all of our assets.

Unlocking org-level metadata for reporting would be an amazing enhancement for admin quality of life, AND it would help with ticket deflection on Gainsight's end. Feels like a win for everybody.

I would love to see this.

There would be so many useful ways to use an enhanced dataset like this. Imagine: instead of adding your email to every rule incase of failure, you could generate reports on failures. This is just the first idea that comes to mind.

I would absolutely love this and it would be a huge efficiency win. A bit of a niche use case, but being able to send a digest with a report of vital failures to a backup admin while the main admin is OOO/PTO would be cool

This would be fantastic. It’d be great to be able to include this as logic in a JO that triggered a Slack message linking out to an admin dashboard in cases where there were failures so all available admins had visibility.
