+5Timeline allows to filter by Activity Type and filter or search on other data points, however Milestone types cannot be filtered on the view from C360/global or searched.
Request that the ability to filter or search on Milestone type be added to Timeline views.

Any movement on this? We are starting to use Milestones more for EBRs, Account Planning, etc., but I’m worried that this will cause friction for our users to track down the right info.

I understand the product parity issues you've encountered.
Milestone types are currently stored in a separate object from the Timeline and are not included in Gainsight's standard picklist object, which limits the feasibility.
We will conduct an internal technical evaluation to determine how best to achieve consistency within the system.
