Have the ability to clone success plans.

It would be cool to have the ability to clone a success plan and then manually assign that plan to either the account that you clone the success plan from or to a totally separate account. You could use this if you manually create a success plan and like the layout but your use case isn't valid enough to create a whole rule around it.

We have just ran into a use case for this as well. Our team has a customer with a VERY labor intensive process that they have created a detailed success plan around. It is just 1 customer, so not worthy of a template, but it would save a lot of time to be able to copy their success plan from the previous year as a starting point.

Wow! I think I've found three posts about cloning success plans! haha

If you haven't already, let's upvote this one since it has the most:

I have the same need for copying / cloning the success plan from the previous year as a starting point for success planning in the new year.

Thanks for considering it!

Adding on to this, specifically being able to migrate a success plan to a new account. When an account hierarchy changes for us in SFDC, the customer’s ARR/revenue might move to the parent account even though the Success plan is on the child account in the hierarchy. In that case, we would want to be able to move the success plan to the parent account with the ARR since that is how we are reporting on the progress against success plans (customers above XX ARR compared to success plans on those accounts)

Hi

Cloning success plan is in our medium term roadmap. User will have option to copy plan info, objectives and tasks when cloning success plan

Having the ability to clone success plans has become a critical issue for our company and team members. We often have a series of events where the main areas of information are the same over and over again with slight variations. Keeping with the motto, Work smarter not harder really fits this scenario. Saving team members time to focus on other crucial tasks rather than wasting precious time filling out success plans. Please make this enhancement a priority and reality. I’m begging here.

On average 35 team members (and growing) will spend 2 hours a week creating new Success Plans (that they could be cloning) x 4.3 weeks in a month = 301 monthly hours. Without this feature, GS is actually less efficient than using SmartSheet.

@Anil Raj Pujari Is there an update on the roadmap status you can share? Still medium term or can we anticipate an upgrade?

We are trying to use Gainsight as our 1-stop shop for managing our implementations and our contract health. Without the ability to clone, the implementation portion is really cumbersome and makes us worry we can’t sustain our current workflow, with so much wasted time recreating each SP from scratch.

We need to create 100’s of success plans per cs employee in any given year and many are similar or identical to the previous plans. We urgently need to ability to clone plans and then edit to make new ones of a similar nature so it is an efficient workflow. Currently it is wasting much productivity time in recreating each from scratch.

In order for us to fully benefit from GS and the efficiencies it affords us we really need the ability to duplicate success plans. Many other platforms enable you to do this and it saves a huge amount of time. We have projects that are very similar and creating new plans from scratch really sets us back

There are many success plans we generate that are very similar and only need a slight tweak to create a new one.  It takes a good amount of minutes to create each success plan, which over a week accounts to hours.  To create a new SP each time for a minor change is extremely frustrating, time consuming and counter productive.  Cloning a success plan would save so much time and minimise the risk of errors.

We have an urgent need to be able to clone success plans.  Please help!

I love this idea.  Being able to clone Success Plans would save a ton of time on a daily basis especially if the clone carries over plan info and objectives.

The ability to clone success plans is an essential feature for our company. We’ve moved our implementation planning and tracking to Gainsight with very high hopes for a more streamlined process but are now faced with this critical setback (major time and effort implications) - I implore you to advanced this feature on your roadmap.

This is a desperate need for our team.  Recreating multiple Success plans for the same project is cumbersome and leads to mistakes - manually adding the same details over and over again opens the door for human error.  If this update can be expedited on your roadmap - it would be a game changer.

We began using GS to help with efficiencies across our organization. Unfortunately, without the ability to clone Success Plans, we are losing valuable time every day as we manually enter duplicate information over and over again. Cloning Success Plans would be a critical solve for our teams.

I have several examples where the client is running the same project regionally.  Each requires a success plan, but the only difference is the country or region.  Having to create each individual success plan with the same information is a time suck.  I spend way more time creating Gainsight Success Plans than I ever did creating SmartSheets for projects.

Our strategic team’s productivity has been negatively impacted by the tedious manual process of having to create scores of similar/related Success Plans from scratch each time. The ability to duplicate existing Success Plans and update select fields would be invaluable to our team.

Many of my clients have large programs with different modules that require multiple, but same or very similar implementation plans. Efficiency is key for my role and I’m seeing very hard to be efficient if there’s no ability to clone or duplicate implementation plans in Gainsight.

Our CS team was excited at the opportunity to streamline our implementation process while leveraging the Success Plans through Gainsight however without the ability to clone Success Plans creates inefficiencies and requires more time to enter each plan individually, which ultimate takes away time from servicing my clients. I’m surprised this feature hasn’t already been implemented.

I work with clients who oftentimes have multiple sessions with very similar success plans. The ability to clone these success plans would save my colleagues and I loads of time in our implementation process, so we can continue to meet their needs. Please consider this feature a high priority!

Having the ability to clone success plans for our team would streamline our workflow/implementation process. We currently have multiple programs that often have the same information, so to be able to copy over the same success plan would be a huge time saver!

Cloning success plans in gainsight will be a massive time saver during the implementation process of some of my Clients’ larger and longer term projects, that currently require numerous interlinked SPs. Its currently a very repetitive task to manually create multiples of the same SP.

Please roll this out sooner!!

Cloning would allow for efficiencies that would help with productivity, so we look forward to this functionality being rolled out soon. Thank you.

We are looking to use Gainsight as our 1-stop shop for managing our implementations and our contract health so cloning the success plans are 100% necessary and will be a massive time saver during the implementation process making our workflow sustainable and eliminating the time consumed without the cloning ability. This is really a high priority for us.
