The workflow around checking flagged posts seems unnecessarily complex and is not streamlined at all. Maybe I’m missing something, in which case I’d love for someone else to share their better workflow with me (though if it involves email I’m not interested ).
What I want to be able to do:
- From the content tab, clicked ‘Flagged’ to see all the flagged posts.
- Click into one and see the post and the reason someone flagged it
- Take whatever action is needed: edit, delete, mark as spam, remove the flag etc. Ideally also respond to the person who flagged it if appropriate to let them know that we heard them and took action.
- Go back to the list of flagged posts to check the next one
What I’m currently doing:
- Starting from the ‘Reported Posts’ Forum because that’s the only way to see what reason someone gave for flagging the post
- Clicking into a report and reading the reason
- Clicking the link to view the topic in a new tab
- Clicking the ‘Control’ button to view the topic in control
- Taking appropriate action and removing the flag
- If it’s spam, going back to the main content tab and searching for the title of the post because you can only mark as spam from the topic list, not from within the topic
- Closing the 2 extra tabs I opened and going back to the post with the reason in it and ‘closing’ the thread so I know it’s been reviewed
- Going back to the reported posts forum to check the next one
