I’d like to see Gainsight make it much easier for end users to turn off new features when applicable. My particular inspiration for this post is the sidebar 360, which as admins we were forced to take an all-or-nothing approach for our end users when turning on. Predictably, while quite a few of my teammates loved it, there were also some who did not like it and wanted to revert back. I found myself having to (a.) figure out myself how each end user could turn off the sidebar 360 themselves, which was buried in the documentation, then (b.) having to individually ping each of said teammates the instructions. Why not just make it easier in the product for end users to revert back to the old way of things with a change like this - especially if you’re going to force admins to roll out to everyone no matter what when rolling it out?
An example: For years, Salesforce, had an easy-to-find “Switch back to Classic” button when they migrated to Lightning. Why not have a similar concept with the sidebar 360 and other similar features? I know you’re definitely able to create this kind of experience if you want. Also, I understand you want end users to adopt the new features, but sometimes you have to meet them where they are and either let them adopt on their own time or just accept that some will never want to adopt it for various reasons, and that’s ok.
