Slack has a built-in workflow builder that allows users to create specific automations quickly and easily. One of the workflow builder options is to allow action to take place in a 3rd party app. However, Gainsight is not one of the OOTB capabilities. I’m guessing this is some sort of enhancement that has to be made by Slack but I’m posting here since it impacts me as a Gainsight user and admin. It’s possible to create custom apps for Slack that can be used in workflow builder but it would convenient to have some abilities without having to dev a custom app. For example, the Salesforce option in Workflow builder allows for the creation or update of records.

A use case I can see is the ability to have a CSM complete a form that then is sent to Gainsight in a custom object that the rules engine can process. 

Just came to community to request something very similar so delighted to see an existing idea for this!

I would love to have the ability to do more with Gainsight via custom workflows in Slack. The current use case we have is for creating CTAs automatically based on the values that are entered into a form. Our goal is to connect an existing engineer time request workflow that is slack channel based into Gainsight and have CTAs created that can be used to track the status and assignment of these requests.
