Hello!

How do we delete actions on the External Actions?

I’m performing a deep cleaning and there are actions that I no longer need and some support based ones too.

And, also they randomly sort: not by name, not by last modified, not by last added. In general the External Actions needs a lot of work to just be user friendly - seems to have been coded in a rush.

@anirbandutta may we convert this to an Idea? We need the ability to delete External Actions, but currently there is no way.

@darkknight could you pl help me identify the Product feature area we are talking about here?

@anirbandutta oh yes, it’s under Integrations (alongside Connectors):

Ok let me check with the team on this one. Thank you.

Hi @Luis Pereira @darkknight

Agree that External Actions can benefit from this enhancement. I have converted this post into an idea for our tracking.

Thanks @rakesh for donning the Community Manager hat here 👍🏽

This is so silly that we can’t delete external actions in-app. Please provide this capability, at the very least for parity across the product.

For some reason I’m not able to post on this topic but it’s also related:

This is so needed!

Any movement on this one? Between the rogue errors stating we have exceeded the 10k character limit for the JSON payload when we have about 230 characters and forcing to retype or recreate the action because it seems to be stuck in limbo with that impression of the limit being exceeded and this… we have a gate wide open to a huge mess.

AI ruling APIs 🍿. What could possibly go wrong?

I faced this issue a few months back when I went to delete a few test external actions I had built. I didn’t have the ability to delete them myself from the UI and instead had to raise a ticket with Gainsight Support to have them delete from the backend. Even though they were able to delete my test external actions without any issues, it is still an additional step that admins shouldn’t need to take (and would also help save the support team’s precious time). If we added it to our own instance, we should hypothetically be able to delete it as well.

I also love the idea of sorting them! This would make them look much better on the screen, and easier to find, especially if sorted alphabetically.
