In the existing Advanced program, I can bring in a picklist field from an external source (Salesforce) as a String. In the new experience, I need to create a Gainisght drop-down and map it in order to use the audience field for any Evaluate steps. This is extra steps when creating an audience and unnecessary tech debt to maintain with the external source. Additionally, when mapping the picklist in the Audience, the list to select a drop-down is not in alphabetical order and cannot be searched with keywords.
Absolutely necessary.
We have multiple programs where we compare the participant field at program entry to the current information via calculate fields and use that in evaluate steps. We also have programs running where the fields used in our conditional evaluate steps are not mapped in our audience, even though they’re part of the query filters. There’s no reason for a participant to have some of those fields twice (both calculated and what the values were at program entry).
Agreed - this is causing extra setup in our instance as well.
This will be a problem for us as well. It’s such a pain to try to keep picklists in sync between 2 systems when it’s not necessary if you can just convert them to a String.
This issue wouldn’t be so time consuming if at minimum we could have the picklist field alphabetical and/or searchable. But without even that, it’s such a headache.
