I’d love to have a way to remove all users from a group. In our case we use them for beta programs and at the end of a beta we award badges, then remove all folks from the group, and retain the group and content should we need to go back to it later.
Right now you have to remove each group member individually, and also confirm their removal each time which is time consuming. Should be able to select multiple/all and remove

I can understand that some groups can become obsolete after a certain period of time. We see this as a problem too and came up with the following idea: There can be an option to archive a group, so users wont be able to add a new topic, reply, join request etc. but still everyone who had access to seethe group content can continue to see or if we want to hide the group from non-users, it can be converted to hidden group, so only members can be able to see the content. Would it solve your problem?
If not, can you give some more details about why you want to remove members from those groups?
I'd still put this idea to 'open' to collect more votes and feedback.

This is something how we use groups as well so this idea is definitely something we are looking for.
