Report spam from the private messages

Thanks for your patience on this one; 47 votes so far and the continued engagement here make clear this is a meaningful gap.

We're moving this into discovery. The ability to report spam and abusive content directly from private messages is both a moderation workflow improvement and a community safety issue, and we're actively evaluating it as part of broader private messaging improvements. We'll keep this thread updated as we learn more.

Thanks for the update ​@Larry! Just wanted to echo everyone here that this is of great interest for our community. Folks can’t report, nor can they discontinue/block users on their own so there’s no way to stop the spam DMs unless the legitimate user pings the community managers. Please prioritize and keep us posted :) 

​@MaddieJ We are planning the scope for this feature now so I should have an update soon in terms of what will be included. The main goal is to add DM moderation support into the AI Moderation Agent and we are looking at the necessary mechanisms surrounding that (flagging a PM being the main one).

I hope there will also be an option for manual moderation? We currently do not use AI moderation, and have not yet looked into this to decide whether we want to or not. It is important to us that our users can report spam or harassment via PM to us, and that we as humans can respond to that.
