Gainsight Community should have role-based access control (RBAC) for product areas, allowing admins to manage who can view, post, and engage with specific content. This would let companies restrict discussions, ideas, and knowledge base articles based on user roles (e.g., CSMs, Admins, Customers, Partners). For example, beta testers could access a private forum, while general users only see public content.

This feature would improve governance, security, and user experience by ensuring the right people engage with the right topics.

@sam_buddery for discussions, questions and articles you can restrict access via primary or custom roles per category in Community Categories and Knowledge Base categories and limit Category Visibility, Create Topics and Create Replies as necessary.

For ideas and product updates we are planning to introduce the same categorisation logic later this year, so you will be able to manage access to those content types too.
