It would be great to send email campaigns based on those who have RSVP’d an event.
I don’t know if anyone can maybe suggest a way of doing this already, but I’m not sure from what I’ve looked at.
Thanks very much.

Hi
Hey,
How are you doing? Sorry for the lack of context before!
At present, if you have an event in the community and it’s internal RSVP, all you do is get a list of names. This list you can export, which is fine. But, it would be easier and more efficient to simply set up an email campaign based on this RSVP list.
We do most of our events on external RSVP now. But, it would be a beautiful thing to:
Otherwise, I am having to revisit the event page, redownload the list (in case of new RSVPs), and then send out emails elsewhere. I guess I could manually provide this RSVP list with a segment to target?
I think that’s what I was getting at six months ago, anyway !
Thanks
Makes a lot of sense. What I’m curious about, is what the types of emails are that you’d like to send out. Are these more generic reminders (as in: Your event {eventTitle} starts in 24 hours) or would these mostly be tailored to each event?
Yeah, I think mostly generic:
I have heard from feedback once or twice that members are unsure of confirmation if they RSVP to a community event, as it’s only the message on the page that appears, and not an email they would expect.
This would be SO helpful--I was trying to see if I could even set up a segment based on event attendees yesterday so I could email but alas…
I would love to see this feature added too! In addition to the traditional emails listed above, we do industry specific events and I will often send a survey through a google form pre-event to crowdsource discussion prompts from attendees. Right now I’m doing it by sending everyone a DM, which isn’t the best process.
A post event email 24 hours later is also something I am currently sending through Zoom, but would rather send via the community. It typically says “thank you for attending” then I include a community thread link where I’ll recap the event and share the recording for folks who missed it.
Agreeing here. I choose to use a third party registration page that has the ability to send confirmation and reminder emails because of this.. which makes the process disjointed. I’d rather not send people AWAY from the community, and would love to be able to pull lists of those who both register and attend an event directly from the platform. Events are a huge strategy for us, but right now it seems completely disjointed from the platform and makes our event comms and reporting much more difficult and manual.
