Support Co-Authors and Secondary Contributor Attribution on Articles

Related products:CC ModerationCC Users & Roles

Introduce multi-tier attribution on articles, allowing content owners to add one or more co-authors or contributors without disrupting primary content ownership.

Why this is needed

Gainsight articles currently enforce a strict single-author model, however content is frequently collaborative. Restricting attribution to one person forces teams to pick a single owner, leaving other contributors without public recognition, profile credit, or community engagement points.

Yes, yes, and yes please. Thanks for adding this @CyJervis . We have built an entire custom multi-tier application/workflow around this for article authoring, editing, reviewing, and publishing. It allows for an author to create knowledge, submit for KCS Coach / Editor review, and then move onto the Publishers for final approval and all of the steps backwards and forwards through the process. It allows us to report on those core activities at the user level Tableau on our side. Downside is no integration into the Community engagement points since it’s happening outside of Gainsight. Although, we could probably build that as well.

Hi @CyJervis,

I created a similar idea here:

Perhaps Gainsight can merge these together? I think CyJervis provides a more thorough description than mine.

My appologies @LauridsP I tried searching first but obviously did not use the right terms to find your idea. 😂

I fully support a merging in either direction as long as it gets this implemented.
