If a Report is used in a JO Program… there should be a notification that upon changes to the report, you need to also re-map the report to your Email Template in the program. 

 

Often, if a report is changed in the report builder, the changes are not reflected in the report that gets sent out via the Program. 

Definitely run into this!  Great idea @kate_green!

Thanks for posting this. 

One of the reasons we do not do that is once a program is live, if a report is modified incorrectly or deleted, you might not want your customers to see wrong data or error messages. We want to make sure what you see in the preview is what your customers will see in the email. @nitisha_rathi can add more challenges we face here. 

Meanwhile, can you add some details on if the changes reflect live, how would you prefer us handle the bolded scenarios (Unintended Changes / Deletions)


@rakesh I don’t think we necessarily want the update to the template to happen automatically more just a warning that you need to update the template accordingly. @kate_green don’t want to speak for you, but that’s what I would see being important.

Just a notification to the user if the report is used in a Program, that changes won’t be reflected in that program until you re-map the report.
