Today there is no way to use rules engine to auto-close Success Plans. This is a manual task for CS OPs or admins to perform that could easily be avoided in most cases. For example, a customer churns and we’d want all open Success Plans and CTAs to be marked closed (closed unsuccessful for the open Objectives / CTAs). Also, for any draft success plans you cannot move from Draft to closed, so you have to update to Active, then to Closed. So ideally be able to delete via rules as well if it’s in Draft status, but skipping the active status would be helpful.
As of today, the only possible way to do this is through Mass Edit (manual / waste of time) or through API (silent errors, uses up API calls unnecessarily).
My idea is if you pass in a given Success Plan ID, you’d be able to:
- Automatically Update the Success Plan to Closed even if there are required fields on the Success Plan
- Ability to add a timeline entry to the Success Plan indicating the reason for auto-closure for historical purposes / transparency to CS team.
- Ability to auto-close all open CTAs with a global closed status for all open CTAs that are attached to the success plan
- Closed Success
- Closed No Action
- Closed Unsuccessful
- Closed Invalid
- This would also need to work with Success Plans in Draft mode.
