As a moderator I feel it is very important to know 'who voted' in a poll.

I want to know the reason(s) behind that vote and be able to reach users who voted a specific option to get more details.

I don’t see why members wouldn’t want to be able to see who voted. I believe both Twitter and Facebook poll features allow you to see who had voted (publicly even). If we’re talking about growing a community and helping people bond with one another to drive like-mindedness, I think it’s important and helpful to see who else has voted similarly or differently. This was a big draw in the Facebook group polls.

Hey, @daniel.boon! To answer your question about how it would be valuable to see who has voted on the poll, take a look at my poll above. It would be helpful to know which customers are in need of what kind of education. This way, we have a deeper understanding of what our clients need vs what segment they are in. We could gain a deeper understanding of how certain segments respond differently.

+100 on this. I wanted to use the poll to gauge members’ interest in a new group. If they said they were interested, we’d invite them into the group. Would have been much simpler if I knew who answered Yes to the poll question.

With the current implementation we have to use an embed tool like Typeform to get the detail we need to make these kinds of polls useful. Being able to see:

For MVP
-Which users voted
-Their custom roles

Nice to have:

-Other attributes like stuff in their profile fields

Would make a world of difference to how much adoption Insided gets with our team.

Even simple CSV with this stuff would be amaaaazing!

The following idea has been merged into this idea:

All the votes have been transferred into this idea.

Is this something that is being considered in the near term for the product roadmap?

Unfortunately, it is not considered in the near future, but we are aiming to upgrade and improve our editor later this year and we’re planning to take a look at the polling functionality at that point as well.

+1 on this idea! Seeing who voted for what option in a poll allows us to follow-up with those users; without that visibility, we can see that someone voted for “I’d love to learn more about X” and we have no idea who it was.

Also +1 on this idea!

Could also be a opt-in setting for the Poll so you have the ability to fully hide who voted what, or only moderators can see in the back-end what users have voted; or even that after voting the result is shown to the user in the front-end.

Gah!  I used a poll to track who wanted a feature, now I can’t see who voted?!

+1 with a capital ONE.

We really need this too - doesn’t make sense that even the admins can’t see who’s voted!

Seems like the polling functionality is very limited. We would like to determine if our votes come from customers or internal people, for example, so seeing who voted (and on which option) would be highly useful.

@Cristina  Is there any further information on the progress of this item?
