How To Promote Knowledge Base Categories On Your Homepage

In this article, you can learn how to promote knowledge base categories on your homepage to help users discover and navigate to your company official documentation that will help them help themselves.

There are three ways to promote groups on your homepage: 

  1. Via a dedicated knowledge base widget
  2. With a customised quick link
  3. With a custom built HTML widget

Promote knowledge base categories on your homepage with a knowledge base widget

  1. Sign in to a community account with user role Community Manager or Administrator

  2. Click the purple Customize button

  3. Hover over the homepage and determine where you want to add the groups widget. Click the plus icon (➕)  and select the Knowledge Base widget

  4. Select a Template

  5. Click Done in the sidebar

  6. Click Publish. Your knowledge base parent categories widget will now appear on your homepage

The following items are optional to do:

  • Add a title (e.g. Knowledge base, Help center, Resources)
