Hi Scott, I hope you’re well. My team is currently exploring Gainsight’s capabilities to integrate with the Contact Roles feature in Salesforce. Specifically, we need guidance on how to set up a multi-select picklist field on the Person object and populate this picklist with the name of each Contact Role record associated with that Person’s Contact record in Salesforce. 

 

For example: 

  • 1 Person/Contact Record for Suzannah Thomas
  • 2 Contact Role Records for Suzannah Thomas
    • Finance Influencer
    • Executive Influencer
  • Gainsight Rule reads the 2 contact role records associated with Suzannah Thomas’s Person/Contact record
  • On Person/Contact Record, rule populates the Contact Role field (multi-select pick list) with ALL associated Contact Roles 
  • For the above example, Suzannah Thomas’s Person record would include
    • Contact Role Field:

☑Executive Influencer

☐Finance Decision Maker
