I’m hoping to determine if there is a way to report on CTA Associated Persons. I couldn’t find anything in documentation.
Looking for a way to determine an account does NOT have a certain type of success plan as I build out a verified outcome rule.
Looking for a side by side comparison of a CSQL - Salesforce Leads VS CSQL - Salesforce Opportunities. I tried testing in Sandbox but I get this error “Check whether SFDC is authorized!” How do I check this ?
Hello @Veronica.Moore , @100MPH and @gabrielaarenas -- just posted separately that I have to cancel today’s session -- under the weather and can’t do a Zoom session, unfortuniately.
However, I will start answering questions here in the thread if I can using some screenshots - a believe a couple of them should be answerable via reply here.
Have a great Thanksgiving, and apologize for the inconvenience!
Hi @Veronica.Moore -- here’s the screenshot for putting together the Associated Persons on CTAs report.
You have to run it on the “Cockpit Associated Records” object, and set the “Who/WhatID” resolution to “Company Person as the object for this report - then you can “open up” that generic Associated Records lookup to get to Company Person/Person data.
See screenshot below and throw any questions back here on the thread!
Hi @100MPH --
Setting up a Rule (or a Data Designer) to show when a “Master Record” like Company is missing any Detail record (like “Success Plan”) requires using the “Merge” step, but with the Left Join option.
Adding a couple of screenshots below with descriptions:
First, fetch your Company and separately, the Success Plans you are looking for, but when fetching the SP’s, just count them by Company GSID (my example is with CTAs, but it is the same logic):
Then, merge the list of Companies with the list of Success Plan counts by Company GSIDs, but keep the FULL list of Companies (the Left Join option in Merge -- or the Right if that’s the “side” the Company list ends up on):
Next screenshots to come on next post.
Setting up Rule or DD for lack of data at master record level Part II, @100MPH :
On the next screenshots, you can see the fields you retain in my very simple example, and the
data results:
And the resulting data - you can filter this final dataset for “Count of CTA is Null” to then surface the Companies that don’t have one of these CTAs (or in your case, Success Plans):
Hope that helps! let me know if you have questions!
Hi @gabrielaarenas -- when a Gainsight Sandbox is created by copying over your Production Gainsight instance, we don’t (and can’t) copy the connection to Salesforce, or any of the other live integrations, since most people want to connect to their SFDC Sandbox or other “sandbox” data source - and even if they wanted to retain some connections, we can’t copy over Integration user credentials, etc.
If you are just creating a Data Designer to compare CSQLs to Opps in SFDC, or even 2 side-by-side reports for a dashboard, the easiest way is from Production - since this is a report or a data designer, it doesn’t affect existing data at all -- and depending on when the SFDC Fullcopy Sandbox was last refreshed, the data probably wouldn’t match anyway.
If you need to connect to SFDC, though, you’ll have to work with your SFDC Admin team to connect to either the SFDC Sandbox they use, or if you just want to pull data from Salesforce with Data Designer, you might be able to convince them to authorize the Sandbox from the Connectors 2.0 page in Gainsight to your Production SFDC -- but that’s rare, and it means you can only use SFDC as a data source.
let me know more details of what you are working on, or if you have questions, and I’ll try to answer in more detail.
Best,
Scott
Hi @sdrostgainsightcom , here’s some context behind our request - We currently have CSQL - leads set up but we are entertaining the idea of switching it to CSQL - Opps but before we make that jump, we want to see what that CSQL - Opps process would look like. Is this something we can review in admin hours?
